When using the External Data Sources Addon you can use your data to create choropleth maps (sometimes refered to as heatmaps or heat maps) or have your markers size and colour depend on values from you data.
In the plugin, for markers ( points and dot labels ) this option is called ‘Auto calculate’ and for regions it’s called ‘Choropleth’.
For Regions
To automatically colour regions based on values, you can enable the ‘Choropleth’ option in the Regions tab.
You’ll need to identify the property you want to use for the colour calculations. This property should contain an integer, a number.

Once you fill out the options, it should automatically populate the regions according to what you have defined.
For Markers
For points and dot labels you can find the options to auto calculate the radius/size and altitude and the colours, with the options below:

You will need to set a ‘Property for calculation’ that should contain a number, an integer.
If the property has a valid number, it will calculate its properties accordingly.
In the example above we used multiple maps using layers and the live filter option.
