When creating a globe you can enable the ‘animate in’ option, to have the globe zoom into view. It will animate into the initial zoom and center selected.

This is just a on/off feature, it’s not currently possible to control how the animate in works.

In addition to the ‘animate in’ you can also enable the ‘auto rotate’ option, and control the speed.

You can use these options together with the option to enable/disable zoom & pan, to have more control over what the user can do with the animated globe.

You can also animate lines between positions.
